A quick demo
The first log entry.

This update I decided to go with a project that I uploaded to my youtube channel. It's a short clip of some spy gameplay in team fortress 2. I imported the demo file of the match into blender and added toon shading and lineart. I mostly made it so I could understand the workflow of tf2 gameplay in blender and find the most efficient ways to manipulate it.
To make things more interesting, I decided to add a sort of narrative to it about what people say to avoid getting stabbed. I also decided to make the actual gameplay footage smaller (letterboxed?) cause the transition to real gameplay felt weird. Pretty early on I noticed that the space around the subjects was both tall and wide, and using a 16:9 aspect ratio seemed unnecessarily wide, so I think the 4:3 ratio turned out well. The ending shot uses a dolly zoom but I don't think it looks all that noticeable. I think if the background wasn't just a solid color and had some depth to it, it would've worked out better. I also ended up learning a little audio editing by adding an echo since the song had like 2 minutes left. Oh and technically the spy should be blue but I didn't care enough to change that.
Something weird I noticed was that youtube added some sort of quality degredation which was never in the render of the video. Maybe it isn't that noticeable, but it's really distracting for me. Oh well.
The next update will probably be me finishing the site design (I still need to fill the right side with something).
