My first pixel sorts
Pixel sorting is a technique for... well... sorting pixels based on certain values of an image. It's much better explained by people other than me, and it's pretty cool. The 3 images shown here were made some time before 2024 (the file dates are untrustworthy) and were my first experiments with the process. They're so old I won't bother trying to find the unmodified images.

I believe this was my first ever pixel sort, using a luxury elite album cover art. The rest were made shortly after.

This ones pretty neat, I used a mask to only sort specific parts. This is of course a screenshot from Seven Samurai.

This is probably my favorite. I had seen some clip of a racer leaning over to feel for water on the track and thought it looked cool. Some time later I decided to pixel sort it. Pixel sorting doesn't work with every image, but here I think it does really well, although the masking might be helping it. I added a slight dithering, but it's a little hard to tell.
